Wellness Series

Started in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Riverlands' Wellness Series aims to elevate our connection with nature and the related benefits to our emotional, physical, and social health.  Offered on various dates in Spring, Summer and Fall, the Wellness Series is announced at the start of each season and registration will be found here.

We offer three different activities for our Wellness Series events: Bikes, Birds and Brews, Kayaking in Ellis Bay, and Silent Meditation.  Bikes, Birds and Brews is supported by Old Bakery Beer Brewery in Alton, Illinois; Kayaking in Ellis Bay is sponsored in coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Mississippi River Water Trail Association.  Further details about these events will be found on the registration page of the events, including length, cost, and maximum participants.  Our Silent Meditations take place four times a year at sunrise next to our River Ark Sculpture.  The meditations are held on the Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Fall Equinox, and Winter Solstice and are guided by Soul Sanctuary of Alton, Illinois.

Please note: There is a 5 person mimumum requirement for all Wellness Series events, The Audubon Center at Riverlands reserves the right to cancel an event that does not meet this threshhold.  In the event of a cancellation, program participants will be contacted for a choice of refund or rescheduling prior to the scheduled event time.
