Birds of Winter is seven incredible weekends and more dedicated to celebrating the amazing birds at Riverlands in inter! 10,000 visitors come to the Audubon Center at Riverlands to marvel at Bald Eagles, Trumpeter Swans and many other raptor and waterfowl species! Our aim is to promote awareness and conservation stewardship of our birds and Great Rivers, and to make St. Louis an even better place to live for birds and people! When we make conditions for birds to thrive, we make conditions for people and the planet to thrive, too!
From December through February, Riverlands offers several events in collaboration with local organizations including World Bird Sanctuary, Treehouse Wildlife Center, Bluff City Productions, St. Louis County and City Parks, Missouri Deparment of Conservation, the Army Corps of Engineers, and more! During these months we offer:
- Bows for Birds (December - February)
- Winter Illumination Walks (December)
- Eagle Ice Fest (January)
- Eagle Sundays (January - February)
- Raptor Saturdays (January - February)
- Eagle Days with MDC (February)
- Great Backyard Bird Count (February)
