Our team at USACE and the Audubon Center at Riverlands are thrilled to announce the selection of Riverlands as a 2025 Leave No Trace (LNT) Spotlight location!
The LNT Spotlight program brings together our shared loved of the outdoors with a dedication to preserving it. The Subaru and LNT Traveling Team will be at Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary April 10-12, 2025, collaborating with us and a variety of partners on exciting events including stewardship projects, LNT workshops, and a community outreach trivia night.

LNT CLEANUP & CONFLUENCE TRASH BASH
Date: Saturday, April 12th
Time: 8:30AM - 11:30AM
Location: Meet at Audubon Center, cleanup sites will vary at Riverlands including land and water

Multiple cleanup sites include:
Ellis Island – parking lot access from Riverlands Way, will require walk/hike on gravel and dirt paths up to 2 miles if desired
Lincoln Shields – access via US 67 S or Riverlands Way, accessible, restrooms onsite
Picnic Pavilion shoreline and water cleanup with Mississippi River Water Trail Association via kayaks – space will be limited to adhere to safety boating regulations; only open to those who are kayak-trained. More information to come.
All sites may have exposure to biohazards, sharps, stinging/biting insects, poison ivy, etc. Cleanup volunteers must register via Open Space Registration and complete all waivers and activity hazard analysis forms.
