Join Riverlands Artist in Residence Alana Tibbets on an experience of natural art and self-expression.  This adults-only event will begin with a walk-through Tibbets' new installations of hybrid figures on the sanctuary where you will explore how artistic expression can represent imagination and messages.  Participants are given the freedom to try their hand at poetry and then participate in a collaborative poem-building exercise.

Tibbets works with biodegradable and natural materials to create works that inspire storytelling and a connection with the audience. Tibbets also works in map-building and book arts, often calling upon her background in the natural sciences to highlight the commonalities of humans and animals. As a teacher, her aim is to ignite playfulness and creativity while allowing each person to go on their own unique artistic journey.
